Privacy Policy
Datawave, DBA Coval ("Coval," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding the collection, use, storage, and disclosure of personal information. We call this the "processing" of personal information.
When we say personal information, we mean information that directly or indirectly relates to a natural person.
Privacy at a Glance
- Data Collection: We collect information you provide directly and some data automatically when you use our products, services, website or applications ("Services").
- Data Usage: Your information helps us deliver, improve, and secure our Services. We don't use your data to train AI models.
- Data Sharing: We don't sell your personal data for money. To understand who visits our marketing website, we use a third-party visitor-identification service — which California and several other U.S. states classify as "sharing" personal information for advertising. You can opt out at any time (see Your Privacy Choices), and we automatically honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals.
- Security: We implement robust security measures to protect your data, though no system is 100% secure.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookie Usage
Our website uses cookies to:
- Remember your preferences and settings
- Analyze website traffic and user behavior
- Improve site functionality and performance
- Deliver personalized content
Managing Cookies
You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences. Disabling cookies may limit some website functionality.
Third-Party Analytics
We use analytics services to understand how users interact with our Services. These providers may use cookies and similar technologies subject to their own privacy policies.
Website Visitor Identification
On our marketing website we use a third-party visitor-identification provider to help us recognize the businesses — and, for visitors in the United States, the individuals — browsing our site, so that we can follow up with relevant information. To do this, we disclose online identifiers (such as IP address) and browsing activity to the provider. Under California and certain other U.S. state privacy laws, this is considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. This service operates only for U.S. visitors and is not used for visitors in the EU, UK, or other regions requiring prior consent. You can opt out at any time, as described in Your Privacy Choices below.
Third-Party Integrations

- Basic profile information

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites. We're not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.
Special Considerations
Children's Privacy
Our Services are not intended for users under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from minors. If we discover such collection, we'll promptly delete the information.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Coval complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Coval has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the processing of personal data received from the European Union. If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern. To learn more about the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) program, and to view our certification, please visit dataprivacyframework.gov.
In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF, Coval commits to cooperate and comply respectively with the advice of the panel established by the EU data protection authorities (DPAs) with regard to unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF.
Individuals have the right to opt out of disclosures of personal information to third parties. To exercise these rights, please contact support@coval.dev.
AI and Machine Learning
We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our Services. We don't use individual customer data to train AI models to benefit other customers.
Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Your Privacy Choices (U.S. State Privacy Rights)
Depending on your state of residence — including California under the CCPA/CPRA, as well as Colorado, Connecticut, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws — you may have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. While we do not sell your personal information for money, our use of website visitor identification (described above) may be considered "sharing" under these laws.
You can exercise this right in either of two ways:
- Your Privacy Choices link: Use the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our website footer to set your preference.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC): We honor the Global Privacy Control signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as a request to opt out of the sale/sharing of your personal information for that browser — you don't need to take any further action.
Depending on your state, you may also have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact us at support@coval.dev. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
Marketing Preferences
You can opt out of marketing communications by:
- Using unsubscribe links in emails
- Contacting our support team
Do-Not-Track and Global Privacy Control Signals
Some browsers offer a legacy "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, we do not respond to DNT signals. We do, however, honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt-out of the sale/sharing of personal information, as described in Your Privacy Choices above.
Browser Privacy Settings
We recommend reviewing your browser's privacy settings to understand available options for controlling data collection.
Policy Updates and Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, new legal requirements, service enhancements, or user feedback. Changes to the privacy policy become effective when we post the privacy policy on our website. If the changes are significant, we may notify you.
