Use Cases > Confirm Before Acting

Catch errors before they become refunds.

The most expensive failures in voice AI are silent. The agent hears "March 15th" as "March 50th." It captures "123 Main Street" instead of "132 Main Street." It places the order, books the appointment, processes the payment, and the caller doesn't find out something went wrong until later. Coval tests whether your agent confirms key details before it commits.

Test Confirmation on Your Agent

What we check.

We score each transcript against the confirmation rules for your context:

  • Reads back the order, appointment, transfer, or payment before executing.
  • Asks for explicit confirmation, not ambiguous consent like "I guess so."
  • Waits for a clear yes.
  • Updates and re-confirms when the caller corrects a detail mid-readback, instead of proceeding with the original.

We also run the edge cases that catch agents off guard: an agent that says "Done!" before the caller finishes their thought fails the same way as one that never confirms at all.

How it works.

Tell Coval what your agent does. We generate confirmation scenarios for that action, run simulated calls, and check whether the agent read back the right details, waited for the right consent, and handled corrections cleanly, with defaults calibrated by industry. A QSR order confirms differently from a wire transfer; a medical appointment differently from a return.

What you'll catch.

  • Agents that submit orders before the caller finishes ordering.
  • Agents that process payments on ambiguous consent.
  • Agents that book appointments for the wrong provider after the caller corrected the name.
  • Agents that dispatch service to the wrong zip code.
  • Agents that cancel the whole order when the caller only meant one item.
